This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.
• Take ownership of and enhance agency relationships within a designated multistate territory.
• Collaborate with agency owners, producers, service representatives, and leaders in brokerage.
• Formulate and implement a territory strategy to boost agency engagement, service quality, retention, and partnerships.
• Conduct virtual and in-person meetings with agency partners to assess their needs, provide educational resources, resolve issues, and underscore the value of Assurant.
• Assist agencies with products, underwriting, systems, claims, onboarding, program modifications, contracts, and handling significant claims or catastrophic events.
• Identify prospects for consolidating flood business and expand Assurant’s market share utilizing performance data and market intelligence.
• Collaborate with internal teams and spearhead business reviews.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of agency and contractual details.
• Act as a representative for Assurant at agency meetings and industry events.
• Increase visibility through agency visits, educational outreach, and market presence.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, sales, strategic client support, or a closely related field.
• Proficient technical skills with various computer systems, tools, and technologies.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong abilities in prioritization, organization, relationship-building, sales, and problem-solving.
• Self-motivated individual with sound judgment.
• Capability to make decisions and work autonomously in a highly independent environment.
• Prior experience in the insurance industry or within an insurance agency office is highly preferred but not mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.
• Willingness and capacity to travel throughout the assigned multistate territory.
• Candidates are ideally expected to reside within or close to the assigned territory; however, those outside of the territory may be considered if they are willing to travel.
• Availability for frequent travel, approximately 40–50% of the time.
