This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Responsible for selling products by arranging sales calls to engage with existing and prospective customers to achieve the revenue and unit growth targets set by the company on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Formulates and executes sales strategies by assessing relevant factors (such as product, competition, and pricing needs) of current and potential accounts to effectively promote the company’s offerings to the appropriate hospital personnel and physicians.
• Creates action plans (including weekly, quarterly, and monthly) by evaluating quarterly and monthly sales data and reports to pinpoint the needs of specific accounts, discussing issues with the regional manager to aid the organization in reaching its sales objectives.
• Identifies key accounts, healthcare professionals, and business challenges that significantly influence the use of company products by meeting with existing and prospective customers to understand their clinical requirements, goals, and limitations regarding patient care.
• Observes actual procedures in hospital labs and operating rooms to gain insights into the needs and characteristics of each physician and lab staff member.
• Establishes pricing packages in collaboration with relevant Abbott Vascular personnel to determine pricing strategies that meet specific customer needs while adhering to company guidelines and policies.
• Fosters relationships with hospital personnel (through casual conversations, meetings, and conference participation) to create new connections in various departments and identify key purchasing decision-makers to facilitate future sales.
• Enhances customer relationships by engaging in sales support activities (including training for internal and external customers, VIP trips, orientations, launches, and updates).
• Develops networks of contacts on behalf of the company to generate interest in its products by attending and participating in trade shows, educational conferences, and seminars.
• Informs external customers about the advantages and proper clinical utilization of company products by delivering presentations and demonstrations using diverse formats and platforms (such as slides, transparencies, manuals) to secure purchasing commitments.
• Maintains clinical and technical knowledge by attending company product training sessions.
• Evaluates trends in managed care, competitor strategies, and new product developments by observing internal (such as sales growth, product mix, and pricing trends) and external indicators (including competitors’ activities, technologies, websites, journals, and newsletters).
• Prepares and submits reports to sales management by analyzing and consolidating data, projections, and other pertinent information.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of relevant cardiovascular work experience, including at least 3 years of experience in Structural Heart or Heart Failure implantable device sales.
• Confirmation that all vendor credentialing requirements will be met, which may include COVID-19 vaccination.
• Strong sales and clinical orientation, experience with products used in interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery, and familiarity with echocardiology and other indirect imaging are highly preferred.
