• New Business Prospecting: You will be driving to various locations, attending local cattle auctions, and engaging with local Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations to build your business pipeline through proactive lead generation efforts. You will also manage inbound leads promptly while prioritizing administrative tasks alongside your field activities.
• In-Field Sales: You are not afraid to get your hands dirty. Discussions about Halter are best held over coffee at a kitchen table, while in the saddle, or on a side-by-side in the pasture. You will be out on the ranch assisting potential customers before discussing the value of Halter. You may drop off coffee during calving season, appreciating the special moments that make a difference for our customers.
• Expanding Existing Opportunities: You are continuously on the lookout for new opportunities, including expanding your current customer base with Halter. You see value in strengthening relationships and discovering innovative ways to enhance value over time. Recognizing that not every rancher will collar all their cows, you view this as an opportunity to achieve your goals.
• Achieving Sales Targets: Ambitious sales targets motivate you; you embrace challenges and enjoy aiming high. You excel in pipeline management and confidently qualify leads. You are capable of managing current deals while keeping future opportunities in your line of sight.
• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships extends beyond making a sale. Post-sale, you strive to maintain close ties with your customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction, offer support, and address any challenges they face with Halter's products. You will also facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and deployment, helping clients maximize the value of Halter’s solutions.
• Territory Ownership: You take great pride in your work and maintain a high level of ownership. Managing an entire territory means attending to every aspect and leaving no opportunity unexplored. You appreciate being the representative of your territory, engaging with key stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to forge lasting relationships with regional agricultural groups.
• Customer Onboarding: Your dedication does not end after the sale. You ensure that your customers receive the best onboarding experience possible. You actively manage the complete customer experience during the onboarding and deployment of Halter’s products, guaranteeing a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even when transitioning customers to different teams within Halter.
• Gathering Field Learnings & Feedback: You understand the importance of feedback for the companies you wish to work with, and it is integral to your territory management. As the primary point of contact for collecting customer feedback in your area, you tirelessly advocate for your customers' needs.
• Collaborating with Support Teams: You are a natural collaborator, actively seeking partnerships across Halter to resolve any customer issues swiftly. You escalate problems when necessary and ensure that customers in your territory feel fully supported.
• Attending Industry Events: You capitalize on relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. You will participate in demonstrations and network to enhance Halter's presence in the market.

• Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, excelling in high-pressure environments. You are well-prepared and possess the skills to communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams. You are proactive and take initiative.
• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You have a strong understanding of ranching or cattle operations, which enables you to comprehend the unique challenges within the industry. This experience allows you to connect meaningfully with customers about what matters most to them.
• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You have a proven track record of creating new business opportunities, engaging in value-based sales conversations, and fostering lasting customer relationships. You focus on building relationships rather than pursuing transactional sales, aiming for long-term success stories and expanding existing relationships through upsell opportunities.
• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, ideally within the agriculture or technology sectors.
• Problem Solving & Collaboration Ability: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive solutions.
