This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• New Business Prospecting: You will be driving to various locations, attending local cattle auctions, engaging with Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations, and building your business pipeline through proactive lead generation efforts. Timely management of inbound leads is essential, along with prioritizing administrative tasks alongside your field activities.

• In-Field Sales: You are not afraid to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussing Halter is best done over coffee at a kitchen table, while riding in a horse saddle, or on a side-by-side in a pasture. You will be on-site at ranches assisting potential customers before presenting the value of Halter, even delivering coffee during calving season. You appreciate the special moments that significantly benefit our customers.

• Expanding Existing Opportunities: You continuously seek new opportunities, including expanding your existing customers' utilization of Halter. You find value in nurturing relationships and discovering innovative ways to enhance value over time. Recognizing that not every rancher will collar all their cows, you see this as a unique opportunity to achieve your objectives.

• Achieving Sales Targets: Ambitious sales targets do not intimidate you; you embrace challenges and strive for high achievements. You are adept at managing your pipeline and confidently disqualifying leads that do not meet criteria. You can handle current deals while keeping future opportunities in focus.

• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships extends beyond the sale. After the sale, you aim to maintain strong connections with customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction, provide support, and address any challenges with Halter’s products. You will also facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and deployment, helping customers maximize the value of Halter’s solutions.

• Territory Ownership: You possess a strong sense of ownership and take pride in what you build. Owning an entire territory entails giving attention to every detail and leaving no stone unturned. You value being the representative of your territory, engaging with high-level stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to foster lasting relationships with regional agricultural groups.

• Customer Onboarding: Your commitment to ownership extends beyond the sale. You ensure that your customers enjoy the best onboarding experience possible. You take charge of the complete customer experience during onboarding and deployment, guaranteeing a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even after handing off the customer to other teams at Halter.

• Field Learnings & Feedback: You recognize the importance of feedback not just for the companies you wish to work for, but also in how you manage your territory. As the primary point of contact for gathering customer feedback within your territory, you advocate tirelessly for your customers' needs.

• Collaborating with Support Teams: Collaboration comes naturally to you; you actively seek partnerships within Halter to resolve any issues your customers face promptly. You escalate problems as necessary and ensure that customers in your territory feel fully supported.

• Attending Industry Events: You take advantage of opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. You will participate in demonstrations and network to enhance Halter’s presence in the market.

• Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: You believe that teamwork enhances strength. You aim to collaborate with the broader team to optimize and evolve the sales process, ensuring it aligns with the US market. As the company scales, your insights will contribute to improved efficiencies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Motivated Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-driven, adaptable, and excel in high-pressure situations. You are well-prepared and proficient in communicating with both customers and internal teams. You take initiative and act proactively.

• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You are familiar with the intricacies of ranching or cattle operations, understanding the industry's unique challenges. This experience allows you to engage meaningfully with customers about their primary concerns.

• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You have a proven track record of creating new business opportunities, negotiating value-based sales conversations, and building enduring customer relationships. You focus on relationship-building rather than transactional sales, aiming for long-term success stories and expanding existing relationships through upselling opportunities.

• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, preferably within the agriculture or technology sectors.

• Problem Solving & Collaboration Skills: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and implement solutions.

• Willingness to Travel: You must be willing to travel frequently within your territory to connect with customers and prospects.
