This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• New Business Prospecting: You will be actively driving to various locations, attending local cattle auctions, and engaging with local associations such as Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's groups, all while building your business pipeline through proactive lead generation efforts. Timely responses to inbound leads and prioritizing administrative duties alongside in-field activities are essential.

• In-Field Sales: You are willing to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussing Halter over coffee at a kitchen table, in a horse saddle, or on a side-by-side in a pasture is your preference. You engage with potential customers on their ranches before presenting the value of Halter, even delivering coffee during calving season. You appreciate those special moments that significantly impact our customers.

• Expanding Existing Opportunities: You constantly seek new opportunities, which includes enhancing relationships with existing customers using Halter. You recognize the value in fostering relationships and discovering new methods to increase value over time. Understanding that not every rancher will collar all their cows, you see this as a unique opportunity to achieve your goals.

• Achieving Sales Targets: Ambitious sales targets do not intimidate you; instead, you embrace challenges and aim high. You are a proficient pipeline manager who does not hesitate to disqualify leads that are not a fit. You can balance current deals while keeping an eye on future prospects.

• Customer Account Management: For you, relationship building goes beyond making a sale. You strive to maintain strong relationships with your customers post-sale to ensure their ongoing satisfaction, provide support, and address any challenges they may face with Halter’s products. You will facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and implementation of Halter, ensuring customers derive maximum value from Halter’s solutions.

• Territory Ownership: You take great pride in your work and have a strong sense of ownership. Managing an entire territory means treating every area with care and leaving no stone unturned. You value representing your territory, engaging with high-level stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to forge lasting connections with regional agricultural groups.

• Customer Onboarding: Your commitment does not end after the sale; you ensure your customers receive the best onboarding experience possible. You take full responsibility for the entire customer journey during onboarding and deployment of Halter’s product, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even when working with different teams across Halter.

• Field Learnings & Feedback: You understand that feedback is vital not only for the companies you wish to work for but is also deeply embedded in how you manage your territory. As the primary contact for gathering customer feedback, you tirelessly advocate for your customers' needs.

• Collaborating with Support Teams: You are a natural collaborator, actively seeking partnerships across Halter to swiftly resolve any customer issues. You escalate problems as necessary to ensure that customers in your territory feel fully supported.

• Attending Industry Events: You capitalize on opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. Participation in demonstrations and networking will help broaden Halter’s market influence.

• Contributing to the Canadian Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that teamwork enhances overall strength. You strive to collaborate with the broader team to refine and adapt the sales process to better fit the Canadian market. As we grow, your insights will help drive greater efficiencies.

• Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, excelling in high-pressure situations. You are well-prepared and proficient at communicating with customers and internal teams. You take initiative and do not hesitate to act.

• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You understand the intricacies of ranching or cattle operations, recognizing the unique challenges of the industry. This knowledge enables you to connect with customers on a meaningful level regarding what matters most to them.

• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You possess a strong background in creating new business opportunities, engaging in value-based sales conversations, and developing lasting customer relationships. You focus on building relationships rather than transactional sales, aiming for long-term success stories and can expand existing relationships through upselling opportunities.

• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced focus on sales and customer success, preferably within the agriculture or technology sectors.

• Problem Solving & Collaboration Ability: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams to address challenges and find solutions.

• Willingness to Travel: Frequent travel within your territory is required to engage with customers and prospects.
