This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Business Development: You’ll be actively prospecting for new business by visiting ranches, attending local cattle auctions, and engaging with local Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations to build your sales pipeline through outbound lead generation efforts. You will also manage inbound leads promptly, balancing administrative tasks with your field activities.
• Field Sales Engagement: You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty. The best discussions about Halter happen over coffee at a kitchen table, while horseback riding, or on a side-by-side in a pasture. You’ll be on the ranch assisting potential customers before discussing the value of Halter, and even delivering coffee during calving season, cherishing the moments that truly resonate with our customers.
• Opportunity Expansion: You are consistently on the lookout for new opportunities, including expanding your existing customer base with Halter. You recognize the value in strengthening relationships and discovering innovative ways to enhance value over time. Since not all ranchers will collar every cow, you see this as a distinctive chance to achieve your targets.
• Achieving Sales Goals: You welcome high-growth sales goals and relish the challenge. As an adept pipeline manager, you confidently qualify leads and maintain focus on both current deals and future opportunities.
• Customer Relationship Management: For you, building relationships extends beyond just making a sale. Post-sale, you strive to keep close ties with your customers to ensure their satisfaction, provide assistance, and tackle any challenges they may encounter with Halter’s products. You’ll facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and deployment, helping customers maximize the value they receive from Halter’s solutions.
• Territory Stewardship: You exhibit a strong sense of ownership and take pride in your work. Managing an entire territory means you pay attention to every detail and leave no stone unturned. You value being the face of your territory, engaging with key stakeholders from local, state, and federal agencies to cultivate lasting relationships with regional agricultural organizations.
• Customer Onboarding Experience: Your commitment doesn't end once the sale is made. You ensure your customers enjoy the best possible onboarding experience. You take full ownership of the customer experience throughout the onboarding and deployment of Halter’s product, guaranteeing a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even when the customer is handed off to different teams within Halter.
• Gathering Field Insights & Feedback: You understand the importance of feedback, both for the companies you aspire to work with and in managing your territory. As the primary point of contact for collecting customer feedback in your area, you work diligently to advocate for your customers' needs.
• Collaboration with Support Teams: As a natural collaborator, you proactively seek assistance from partners across Halter to swiftly resolve any issues your customers face. You escalate problems when necessary, ensuring that customers in your territory feel thoroughly supported.
• Participation in Industry Events: You take advantage of opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. You will engage in demonstrations and network to enhance Halter’s presence in the market.
• Contribution to US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that a team is most effective when collaborating. You aim to work with the broader team to refine and adapt the sales process to suit the US market. As we expand, your insights will contribute to driving greater efficiencies.
• Motivated Mindset & Communication Skills: You are results-driven, adaptable, and thrive in high-pressure environments. You are well-prepared and proficient at engaging with both customers and internal teams. Your proactive nature ensures you take initiative rather than waiting for direction.
• Experience in Ranching / Cattle Operations: You have a solid understanding of ranching or cattle operations, recognizing the unique challenges within the industry. This background enables you to connect with customers on what matters most.
• Sales & Customer Success Background: You possess a strong track record of generating new business opportunities, facilitating value-based sales conversations, and establishing enduring customer relationships. You prioritize building relationships over transactional sales, focusing on long-term success and seeking to expand existing relationships through upsell opportunities.
• Experience in Territory Management: You have a background managing a large territory with an even emphasis on sales and customer success, preferably in agriculture or technology.
• Problem-Solving & Collaborative Skills: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and implement solutions.
• Willingness to Travel: You are open to frequent travel within your territory to connect with customers and prospects.
