This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Implement tailored outbound outreach (via email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels) to potential partner institutions, utilizing strategies developed in collaboration with your manager and the Partnerships team.
• Take ownership of timely and personalized follow-up on inbound and marketing-generated leads, transforming interest into qualified meetings and initial partnership discussions.
• Perform in-depth research on prospective institutions to grasp their priorities, challenges, and potential decision-makers prior to outreach.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager of Demand Generation and Partnerships leads to learn and implement account prioritization, territory planning, and targeted outreach tactics.
• Keep precise and current records of all outreach activities, engagement history, and pipeline progression in Hubspot, ensuring strong visibility across the team.
• Offer suggestions to enhance lead follow-up and outreach workflows as you gain experience.
• Achieve activity and qualified-meeting targets with the guidance and support of your manager and the team.
• Monitor outreach results and communicate your findings, including recurring patterns and common objections, with your manager and the Partnerships team.
• Proactively develop the skills, habits, and knowledge of higher education that will prepare you for a growing role within the Partnerships team.
• At an early stage in your career and keen to advance. You are either a recent graduate or possess up to approximately two years of professional experience. Internships, co-ops, campus roles, fellowships, and other outreach-related experiences are all relevant.
• A genuine enthusiasm for outreach and relationship-building, with a readiness to research, personalize, and persistently follow up to initiate meaningful conversations.
• Organized and reliable, capable of managing a high volume of outreach without letting any details slip through the cracks.
• A clear and professional communicator in both written and verbal forms, comfortable engaging with a wide range of individuals, including senior leaders.
• Resilient and open to coaching. You are motivated rather than discouraged by rejection and targets, and you actively pursue and incorporate feedback.
• Self-driven and goal-oriented, comfortable with metrics and motivated (not intimidated) by targets.
• Truly curious about higher education and inspired by CDI's mission to foster skills for constructive dialogue on college campuses.
• Possess a growth mindset, eager to understand the intricacies of business development, sales, and the higher education sector.
• Familiarity with CRM or sales engagement tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is advantageous; we will provide training on the remaining aspects.
