This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• New Business Prospecting: You will be actively driving to potential clients, attending local cattle auctions, and engaging with local Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations to build your business pipeline through proactive lead generation efforts. You will also respond to inbound leads promptly while prioritizing administrative tasks alongside your field activities.
• Field Sales Engagement: You are unafraid to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussing Halter is best done over coffee at a kitchen table, while riding in the saddle, or in a side-by-side on a ranch. You will be out in the field assisting potential customers before highlighting the value of Halter products, even delivering coffee during calving season to create meaningful connections with our customers.
• Opportunity Expansion: You constantly seek new avenues for growth, including expanding opportunities with existing customers using Halter. You understand the importance of nurturing relationships and discovering innovative ways to enhance value over time. Recognizing that not every rancher will collar all their cows, you see this as a distinct opportunity to meet your goals.
• Achieving Sales Goals: You are not intimidated by ambitious sales targets; instead, you embrace challenges and aim high. As an expert pipeline manager, you confidently qualify leads without second-guessing yourself. You can navigate current deals while keeping future opportunities in focus.
• Customer Account Management: For you, relationship building extends beyond just making a sale. Post-sale, you strive to maintain close connections with your customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction, provide assistance, and address any issues related to Halter’s products. You will also facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and deployment, helping clients derive maximum value from Halter’s solutions.
• Territory Stewardship: You take great pride in ownership and what you create. Managing a complete territory entails giving attention to every detail and exploring every opportunity. You appreciate the role of being a representative of your territory, engaging with key stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to foster lasting relationships with regional agricultural organizations.
• Customer Onboarding Excellence: Your commitment to ownership continues beyond the sale. You ensure that your clients enjoy the best onboarding experience possible. You actively manage the entire customer experience during onboarding and deployment, guaranteeing a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even after handing off the customer to different teams across Halter.
• Gathering Field Insights & Feedback: You recognize the importance of feedback not only for the companies you wish to work with but also as a fundamental aspect of how you manage your territory. Acting as the primary contact for collecting customer feedback, you advocate tirelessly for your clients' needs.
• Collaboration with Support Teams: You are a natural collaborator, reaching out to partners across Halter to quickly resolve any issues your customers encounter. You escalate problems as necessary to ensure that customers within your territory feel fully supported.
• Participation in Industry Events: You seize opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with current customers. You will engage in demonstrations and networking to enhance Halter’s presence in the market.
• Contribution to US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe in the strength of teamwork. You aim to collaborate with the wider team to refine and evolve the sales process, ensuring its relevance to the US market. As the company scales, your insights will help drive greater operational efficiencies.
• Motivated Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, adaptable, and thrive in high-pressure environments. You possess excellent communication skills, adept at engaging with customers and internal teams alike. Proactive by nature, you take initiative rather than waiting to act.
• Experience in Ranching or Cattle Operations: You are well-versed in the nuances of ranching or cattle operations, understanding the industry's unique challenges. This experience enables you to forge meaningful connections with customers about what matters most to them.
• Sales & Customer Success Background: You have a proven track record of creating new business opportunities and negotiating value-driven sales conversations. Your background in nurturing long-lasting customer relationships reflects your commitment to building relationships rather than focusing solely on transactions, leading to long-term success stories and upsell opportunities.
• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, preferably within agriculture or technology sectors.
• Problem Solving & Collaborative Skills: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, working effectively with cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive solutions.
• Willingness to Travel: You will travel frequently within your territory to engage with customers and prospects.
• Personal growth is a priority. Halter provides an annual USD$750 self-development budget to invest in anything that fosters personal growth.
• Health Benefits - We offer top-tier insurance for our employees, allowing them to prioritize their health and that of their families.
• 16 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers and 8 weeks for secondary caregivers, along with various other parental benefits that support you and your family.
• We value our time to recharge, offering wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave.
• We proudly provide a 401k plan with employer matching. We match 100% on the first 3% of your contributions and 50% on the next 2%.
• Additionally, we offer an inclusive and appealing compensation package, combining salary, benefits, and an employee stock ownership plan.
