This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Promote and sell Neptune products to water utilities throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Oversee, train, motivate, and assist Neptune’s distributor and representative network in Pennsylvania.
• Offer insights and feedback to the Regional Manager concerning customer preferences, industry trends, and new product initiatives.
• Create sales and account strategies for the designated territory.
• Provide continual forecasts and updates on long-term pipelines.
• Construct ROI cases for AMR/AMI upgrades and comprehensive system conversions.
• Acquire competitive accounts through innovative proposals and phased pilot programs.
• Engage in collections as necessary.
• Own revenue targets, market penetration, and customer retention for Pennsylvania.
• Implement a dynamic business plan for the territory, delivering ongoing forecasts and pipeline updates.
• Proactively seek and secure new municipal, authority, and private utility accounts.
• Utilize negotiation skills to enhance contract value.
• Formulate and execute sales plans and strategies for assigned accounts to align with overall company goals.
• Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with customers and distributors.
• Manage distributors by creating joint business plans, making joint sales calls, establishing measurable sales targets, and conducting quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with all active partners.
• Analyze the territory to ensure optimal direct and indirect coverage.
• Assess NTG market share and develop a plan to enhance Neptune’s presence throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Identify coverage gaps and suggest channel modifications to the Regional Manager.
• Deliver exceptional service to all customers and distributors, including handling material returns, credits, delivery information, warranty claims, and more.
• Conduct regular on-site visits to identify expansion and upgrade opportunities.
• Provide product demonstrations, technical training, and ensure smooth implementation transitions.
• Maintain Salesforce CRM accuracy at 95% or higher; log all activities weekly.
• Coordinate and submit successful RFP responses across the territory.
• Monitor expenses and fulfill monthly and quarterly reporting obligations.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant outside sales experience is preferred.
• Proven success in hunting and closing new accounts.
• Experience in managing or co-selling through distribution channel partners.
• Proficiency in CRM systems.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Direct experience with AMR/AMI metering products and existing relationships with Pennsylvania water utilities is strongly preferred.
