This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• New Business Prospecting: You will be visiting local ranches, attending cattle auctions, and engaging with local Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations to build your business pipeline through proactive lead generation. You will also respond to inbound leads promptly while balancing administrative tasks with field activities.
• In-Field Sales: You are not afraid to get your hands dirty. Discussing Halter over coffee at a kitchen table, in the saddle, or while on a side-by-side in the pasture is your preferred style. You will be out on the ranch assisting potential customers before elaborating on the value of Halter, even delivering coffee during calving season. You appreciate the special moments that create a positive impact for our customers.
• Expanding Existing Opportunities: You are always on the lookout for new opportunities, including ways to grow your current customer base with Halter. You recognize the importance of nurturing relationships and discovering methods to enhance value over time. Since not every rancher will collar all their cows, you see this as a unique chance to achieve your goals.
• Meeting Sales Targets: Ambitious sales targets do not intimidate you; you embrace challenges and aim high. As an adept pipeline manager, you are confident in disqualifying leads that do not meet criteria. You can manage today's deals while keeping an eye on the future.
• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships extends beyond the initial sale. You strive to maintain close ties with your customers to ensure their continued satisfaction, offer support, and tackle any challenges they encounter with Halter's products. You will also facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and deployment, helping customers maximize the value of Halter’s solutions.
• Territory Ownership: You take great pride in what you build and have a strong sense of ownership. Managing an entire territory means addressing every detail and leaving no stone unturned. You value being the representative of your territory, engaging with key stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to forge lasting connections with regional agricultural groups.
• Customer Onboarding: Your commitment to ownership continues beyond the sale. You ensure that your customers have the best onboarding experience possible. You actively oversee the entire customer journey during the onboarding and deployment of Halter’s product, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even after handing off the customer to other teams within Halter.
• Field Learnings & Feedback: You understand that feedback is crucial, both for the companies you wish to work with and as part of your territory management. As the primary point of contact for gathering customer feedback in your area, you work diligently to advocate for your customers' needs.
• Collaborating with Support Teams: You are a natural collaborator, seeking out partnerships across Halter to swiftly resolve any issues your customers face. You escalate problems when necessary and ensure that customers in your territory feel thoroughly supported.
• Attending Industry Events: You leverage opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. You will participate in demonstrations and network to enhance Halter’s presence in the market.
• Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that teamwork enhances performance. You aim to collaborate with the broader team to refine and evolve the sales process, ensuring it aligns with the US market. As we grow, your insights will help drive greater efficiencies.
• Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, thriving in high-pressure environments. You are well-prepared and adept at communicating with both customers and internal teams. You take initiative and act proactively.
• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You possess a solid understanding of ranching or cattle operations, recognizing the unique challenges of the industry. This background enables you to connect with customers on what truly matters.
• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You have a proven track record of creating new business opportunities, engaging in value-based sales conversations, and cultivating lasting customer relationships. You focus on relationship-building rather than transactional sales, aiming for long-term success stories and expanding existing relationships through upsell opportunities.
• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, ideally within the agriculture or technology sectors.
• Problem Solving & Collaboration Ability: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, working effectively with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and drive solutions.
• Willingness to Travel: You are open to frequent travel within your territory to connect with customers and prospects.
• Our emphasis on personal growth is significant. Halter provides an annual budget of USD$750 for self-development to support anything that fosters your personal growth.
• Health Benefits: We offer top-tier insurance coverage for our employees, enabling them to care for themselves and their families.
• Parental Leave: We provide 16 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers and 8 weeks for secondary caregivers, along with many additional parental benefits to support you and your family.
• Work-Life Balance: We value your time to recharge, offering wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave.
• Retirement Plan: We proudly offer a 401k plan with employer matching—100% match on the first 3% you contribute, and a 50% match on the next 2%.
• Competitive Remuneration: We provide an inclusive and attractive compensation package comprising salary, benefits, and an employee stock ownership plan.
