Temporary General Accountant – CDD 5 Months

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Ensure accurate general ledger entries for French, US, and Australian entities.

• Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and provisions.

• Execute balance sheet reconciliations and analyze variances.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Oversee and reconcile intercompany transactions.

• Facilitate audit requests and maintain comprehensive accounting documentation.

• Process and categorize supplier invoices and oversee approval workflows.

• Create and review supplier accounts and manage reconciliations.

• Administer expense reports and respond to accounting inquiries.

• Generate customer invoices and assist with collections.

• Reconcile customer accounts and track aging balances.

• Support revenue reconciliation efforts.

• Aid in the transition from Pennylane/Odoo to NetSuite.

• Conduct parallel testing and validate accounting processes and data.

• Identify discrepancies in systems and assist with reconciliation.

• Provide operational support during the ERP implementation.

• Utilize AI and automation tools to enhance accounting workflows and efficiency.

• Report directly to the Financial Controller and work closely with the Finance team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in General / GL Accounting.

• Strong practical experience in GL, AP, and AR.

• Familiarity with month-end closing, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and intercompany transactions.

• Proven hands-on experience with Pennylane and Odoo.

• Experience in international, multi-entity, and multi-currency environments.

• Ability to navigate different jurisdictions; experience with France, the US, and/or Australia is highly valued.

• Exceptional attention to detail and robust reconciliation skills.

• Capability to quickly grasp existing processes and work independently.

• Comfortable operating in a remote, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus.

• Experience with NetSuite is advantageous.

• Familiarity with supporting an ERP implementation or migration is a plus.

• Background in a Tech, SaaS, or scale-up environment is beneficial.

• Knowledge of multi-currency accounting and consolidation is a plus.

• Comfortable utilizing AI-powered tools and automation is advantageous.
