Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute general accounting responsibilities for a designated portfolio, encompassing month-end closing tasks, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Oversee cash accounting operations, which include bank reconciliations, reviewing cash activities, and monitoring cash balances.

• Direct General Ledger accounting for assigned hotels across multiple entities.

• Conduct sales and use tax reconciliations.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and presentations.

• Facilitate internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and compiling necessary documentation.

• Aid Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations by reviewing transactions, resolving discrepancies, and providing guidance to support staff.

• Carry out technical accounting research to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Recognize inefficiencies, devise solutions, and implement process enhancements.

• Mentor and support junior accounting personnel.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 5 years of progressive experience within the accounting sector.

• Proficiency with M3 Accounting Core is mandatory.

• Experience in multi-property or multi-entity accounting is essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

• Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.

• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and meet various competing deadlines.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
