This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Create and post journal entries
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Direct month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial documentation
• Maintain fixed asset and prepaid schedules as required
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial records
• Manage or assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Aid in internal and external audits
• Coordinate tax reporting and collaborate with external tax consultants
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and relevant financial regulations
• Analyze financial outcomes and offer insightful recommendations to leadership
• Identify opportunities for enhancing accounting processes, internal controls, and efficiencies
• Utilize automation and AI-driven tools when suitable to enhance workflows
• Assist with ERP implementations, upgrades, or enhancements to financial systems
• Collaborate with leadership, operations, tax, and external advisors on strategic projects
• Prepare reports and financial data to support executive decision-making
• Contribute to a team-oriented culture focused on continuous improvement
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 4–7+ years of progressive experience in accounting
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience in preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations
• Proven experience leading month-end and year-end closing processes
• Proficient in accounting software such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, Xero, or similar ERP systems
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial reporting
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
• Preferred CPA designation (active or in progress)
• Experience in a multi-entity setting
• Familiarity with audit support and tax compliance
• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Experience in accounting automation or financial technology implementations
• Background in professional services, consulting, legal, financial services, or multi-company environments
