This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Evaluate institutional and federal financial aid applications
• Assess financial aid eligibility and generate financial aid offers utilizing PowerFAIDS
• Perform responsibilities at the Senior Associate and Director level
• Act as a professional resource for staff and systems based on expertise in PowerFAIDS
• Conduct quality assurance sessions while becoming familiar with the new system
• Provide insights to practices and the new system based on prior experience
• Assist the Loan Specialist with the certification of Federal Direct Loans and private/alternative loans
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies
• Address conflicting information and package financial aid for prospective and returning students
• Verify eligibility by reconciling differences between FAFSA and CSS Profile, as well as reviewing tax returns, W-2 forms, and verification worksheets
• Review and process applications for Federal Direct Loans and private/alternative loans
• Resolve instances of over-awards
• Meet virtually with students regarding inquiries related to financial aid
• Assist in the organization and cleanup of reports
• Perform other assigned tasks
• Associate's degree is required
• Previous experience with financial aid packaging in PowerFAIDS
• Proven knowledge of the financial aid application process
• Prior experience with the College Board's CSS Profile and institutional methodology
• Ability to adhere to all federal, state, and institutional policies
• Capability to work independently, take initiative, and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and deadlines, exercising professional judgment, discretion, and a collaborative approach when working across departments
• A service-oriented mindset and a genuine interest in the institution's mission
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor's degree is preferred
