Telugu VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Professionally answer calls while adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the industry you are interpreting for, particularly in healthcare and medical fields—training will be provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver exceptional customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide reports to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Telugu."

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, though not essential.

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial, but not required.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications relevant to the healthcare field are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
