Telephonic Case Manager, RN – Compact License

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Engage with medical providers, employers, and injured workers

• Conduct a thorough nursing assessment to identify patient needs

• Review and assess all medical documentation, provider reports, and treatment history

• Analyze the clinical condition of the claimant and explore alternative treatment options as necessary

• Communicate with claims examiners regarding directives and provide updates on file progress

• Arrange transportation services when required and authorized

• Evaluate therapy facilities and monitor their progress on specific cases

• Document comprehensive notes after discussions with injured workers, medical providers, claims examiners, and employers in the case file

• Review analyzed data and the comprehensive care plan with the insurance representative before implementation

• Upon receiving authorization, execute the care plan with the patient, physician, and healthcare providers

• Coordinate care/services as needed (home care, procedures, medications, equipment, or supplies)

• Oversee the care plan, making modifications or changes as suggested to the patient and physician when necessary

• Facilitate communication among all parties (injured worker, physicians, employer, other providers such as therapists, and attorneys, if involved)

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from a recognized nursing school

• 3-5 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse outside of academic training

• Valid Compact RN license in good standing with no restrictions

• Valid state-specific RN license in good standing with no restrictions

• May need to obtain a CA RN License

• Demonstrates the professional and technical competencies expected of a Registered Nurse

• Experience in Case Management and Workers' Compensation is preferred but not mandatory

• Background in Home Health Care or Occupational Health is considered advantageous

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities

• High level of comfort with computers and software applications (MS Word, MS Excel, Email)
