Telephone Triage Nurse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate patient health concerns through telephone and secure video consultations.

• Arrange appointments and provide patient referrals.

• Guide and supervise basic home treatment strategies.

• Educate patients on self-assessment techniques.

• Employ Schmitt/Thompson protocols for patient assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, ideally in ICU, ED, Mother/Baby unit, Pediatrics, Home Health & Hospice.

• Strong critical thinking abilities.

• A compassionate and caring demeanor.

• Proficient in disease management, coaching, and crisis intervention.

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Access to high-speed internet (DSL or Cable).

• A laptop, PC, or MAC is required.

• A dedicated workspace is essential.

• Flexible scheduling is necessary, including the ability to work every other weekend and some holidays.

• A Compact RN license is required.

• 3-4 years of experience in Pediatrics, OB, ICU, Med-Surg, Hospice, Home Health, or Occupational Health.

• Experience with Schmitt-Thompson Pediatric and Adult protocols is preferred.

• Comfortable using EHR, Word, Excel, and other necessary software for the role.
