Telemedicine Staff Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Delivering direct, patient-focused care with an emphasis on collaborative decision-making in a remote and asynchronous manner.

• Prioritizing patient needs by ensuring a 4-hour response time on visits and messages, and a 2-hour response time on urgent care interactions during business hours (9 AM - 8 PM EST).

• Evaluating and managing both acute and chronic medical conditions.

• Offering real-time case reviews and consultations to NP and PA colleagues during scheduled shifts (this includes general advice outside of collaborative practice agreement responsibilities and reviews).

• Completing and maintaining patient records in accordance with established procedures using our internal electronic health record system and AthenaHealth EMR.

• Adhering to evidence-based clinical guidelines within general medicine, women's health, weight management, and other specialized care areas in the context of telemedicine and in line with Alpha treatment guidelines.

• Complying with Alpha's privacy policies, contractual obligations, state and federal regulations, and ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a valid and unrestricted Medical License in the United States.

• Preference will be given to telemedicine providers with multi-state licenses.

• Must hold a license in South Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, or Alabama.

• Must have graduated from an accredited allopathic medical school in the US.

• Board-certified in Internal or Family Medicine with a focus on Women's Reproductive Health and Obesity Medicine.

• A current DEA registration (applicable to all schedules).

• Demonstrated competency in patient evaluation and treatment.

• Knowledge of current medical, educational, and psychosocial intervention strategies.

• Ability to perform clinical tasks within established guidelines in an organized and efficient manner.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to relate well to diverse cultural and ethnic groups, including fluency in both written and spoken English.

• Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) and electronic health record management systems.

• Exhibits a high level of professionalism.

• Preference will be given to candidates with prior telemedicine experience.
