This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Evaluate intake assessments, which include medical histories, dietary habits, laboratory results, and additional relevant information.
• Provide diet and lifestyle counseling and education sessions through video, offering general advice on movement, sleep, or stress management as related to nutritional care.
• Utilize the nutrition training and educational materials provided by Allara to ensure consistent care while being adaptable to patient needs.
• Apply motivational interviewing and behavior change strategies throughout the continuum of care.
• Work in partnership with APRNs and MDs involved in managing the medical care of your patients.
• Keep accurate and current patient records.
• Commit to a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours weekly in addition to administrative responsibilities.
• Duties also encompass charting, responding to patient inquiries, and handling administrative tasks and messages promptly.
• Certification: Must be a Registered Dietitian with a current certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience treating patients with complex women’s health conditions is highly preferred.
• Clinical Independence: Demonstrated ability to operate as an autonomous provider with strong diagnostic judgment and critical thinking abilities.
• Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, focusing on compassion and clarity.
• Webside Manner: An innate ability to establish trust and rapport with patients in a virtual environment.
• Evidence-Based Practice: A sincere dedication to providing care based on the latest clinical research.
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating various platforms including EMR systems, text expanders, Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, and scheduling tools.
• Telemedicine Experience: Prior experience with telehealth services is advantageous.
• State License Requirements & Hiring Considerations: Must possess an active, unrestricted, and unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Dietitian in at least one U.S. state.
