This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Evaluate intake assessments, which include medical history, dietary habits, laboratory results, and more.
• Provide diet and lifestyle counseling, as well as educational sessions via video, offering general advice on movement, sleep, or stress management as it relates to nutrition care.
• Utilize Allara’s nutrition training and educational resources to ensure consistent care while tailoring to the needs of patients.
• Apply motivational interviewing and behavior change techniques throughout the care continuum.
• Collaborate with APRNs and MDs involved in the medical management of your patients.
• Keep accurate and current patient records.
• Commit to a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours each week, in addition to administrative responsibilities.
• Duties also encompass charting, addressing patient inquiries, and promptly responding to administrative tasks and messages.
• Certification: Registered Dietitian with a current certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience treating patients with complex women’s health conditions is highly desired.
• Clinical Independence: Demonstrated ability to operate as an autonomous provider with strong diagnostic judgment and critical thinking capabilities.
• Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing compassion and clarity.
• Webside Manner: An innate ability to establish trust and connection with patients in a virtual environment.
• Evidence-Based Practice: A true commitment to providing care grounded in the latest clinical research.
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using multiple platforms such as EMR systems, text expanders, Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, and scheduling tools.
• Telemedicine Experience: Previous telehealth experience is advantageous.
• State License Requirements & Hiring Considerations: An active, unrestricted, and unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Dietitian in at least one U.S. state is mandatory.
