Telehealth Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Evaluates patient requirements within a telemedicine care framework.

• Efficiently triages patients to identify their specific needs.

• Assesses patients promptly, prioritizing care over administrative tasks.

• Conducts comprehensive history and physical examinations for each patient.

• Develops a personalized, evidence-informed care plan.

• Appropriately consults with the on-call WellNow physician and radiologist.

• Effectively oversees payers throughout the range of services offered at the location.

• Adheres to evidence-based protocols when ordering laboratory tests, radiology, and other diagnostic evaluations.

• Utilizes evidence-based resources to determine treatment alternatives.

• Prescribes and orders suitable medications.

• Makes appropriate referrals to primary care and specialty physicians.

• Executes procedures relevant to the types of services provided, adhering to the standard of care.

• Informs patients about their medical conditions and discharge plans.

• Maintains the confidentiality of patient information.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, telemedicine, or family practice, with the capability to manage both adult and pediatric patients.

• The ideal candidate will have experience in both fast track and main emergency department environments.

• Exceptional bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills.

• Capable of working independently in evaluating and managing patients, while also serving as a team leader.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
