Telecommunications Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Responsible for overseeing all telecommunications services and systems within the firm.

• Manages the existing Avaya telephony platform and strategizes for future technology integration.

• Leads a telecommunications team, manages vendor partnerships, ensures compliance with billing, and formulates a multi-year strategic roadmap.

• Enhances and optimizes the firm's Avaya telephony platform while assessing emerging technologies.

• Develops and implements transition strategies from legacy systems to contemporary platforms.

• Crafts a multi-year telecommunications roadmap that aligns with the firm’s objectives.

• Coordinates service installations with carriers, ensuring adherence to target dates and quality standards.

• Handles all moves, adds, changes, and disconnects for both voice and data circuits.

• Integrates telephony systems with legal practice management software and collaboration tools.

• Guides and develops the telecommunications team to fulfill performance and availability commitments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Over 8 years of experience managing enterprise telephony systems, ideally in a law firm or professional services setting.

• Required expert-level knowledge of the Avaya telephony platform.

• Significant experience with other telephony platforms, including cloud-based and UCaaS solutions (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, SIP, RingCentral, Cisco).

• Demonstrated success in technology adoption and change management.

• Proficient in vendor management, contract negotiation, and telecommunications budgeting.

• Preferred certifications include Avaya certifications (ACIS, ACSS, or equivalent), Microsoft Teams Voice/Telephony certifications, and UCaaS or cloud telephony certifications.
