
Telecom Observability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in expanding our telecommunications team
• Collaborate with the telecom team, core engineering team, and Level 1/2 customer support escalation units
• Oversee and appropriately escalate real-time core network or infrastructure issues that may impact customers
• Sustain and enhance OXIO’s network
• Provide technical assistance, conduct fault investigations, and troubleshoot all network-related issues
• Ensure that network/application problems are identified and resolved in accordance with agreed KPIs and SLAs
• Design and execute thorough observability strategies across distributed systems
• Deploy and maintain monitoring solutions utilizing tools such as Sevone, Grafana, and CloudPak4AiOPs
• Create automated alerting systems featuring AI-driven anomaly detection
• Develop and maintain dashboards for real-time system visibility
• Implement distributed tracing and log aggregation solutions
• Provide technical support to NOC engineers to analyze and resolve issues
• Develop KPIs and additional metrics to monitor key elements of mobile network performance
• Create training materials related to KPIs / Dashboards
• Capability to troubleshoot, document, and evaluate the appropriate escalation channels and teams or groups.
• Over 10 years of experience in a telecommunications environment providing L3 support or similar roles
• Proficiency in monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, SevOne, CloudPak, etc.)
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Basic knowledge of Python / Linux / Bash
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Comprehension of SLO/SLI/SLA concepts
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
