This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Act as a key member of customer projects, concentrating on design, architecture, integration, implementation, documentation, research, benchmarking, performance and functional testing, reference architectures, sizing, migration, integration, development, and tooling.
• Offer case-initiated consultative support to strategic users, customers, and prospects, aiding in implementation, onboarding, production launches, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
• Deliver architectural, technical, and migration support, including hands-on involvement.
• Manage L1 to L3 support cases and communications when not engaged with customer projects.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to influence the product roadmap and account strategies.
• Create public and internal documentation, Knowledge Base articles, ClickHouse Learning content, reference architectures, blogs, and benchmark results.
• Assist in recruiting and mentoring new team members.
• Provide support for scheduling and on-call requirements to ensure high-quality 24x7 support in a globally distributed environment, which may involve up to 35% anticipated onsite regional travel.
• Over 5 years of experience in Professional Services, Support, Technical Accounts Management, Engineering/SRE, and/or Project Management roles.
• More than 5 years of pertinent industry experience in implementing, operating, and/or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed database management systems.
• Comprehensive technical knowledge in DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, system or network administration, and big data.
• Proven experience in leading and delivering large-scale technical projects with a team of seasoned engineers.
• Proficiency with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-a-service offerings like EC2.
• Exceptional communication skills and capability to excel in a customer-facing role.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Support Services, Engineering, and Sales teams.
• Familiarity with ClickHouse, open-source technologies, and data pipelines such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, or RabbitMQ is considered a plus.
