Technology Project Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive cost estimates based on RFP specifications, construction drawings, and site survey information.

• Analyze and interpret plans and specifications for telecom, wireless, IT infrastructure, BMS, and EBM systems.

• Conduct quantity take-offs and deliver labor and material pricing for structured cabling, network systems, wireless access points, routers, switches, control systems, and associated technologies.

• Work collaboratively with sales, engineering, project management, vendors, and subcontractors to guarantee bid accuracy and competitiveness.

• Assess subcontractor and vendor proposals to ensure compliance with scope and alignment of pricing.

• Engage in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid clarifications as necessary.

• Maintain and refresh unit cost databases, labor productivity metrics, and vendor pricing information.

• Assist in project handoff by supplying precise scope documentation to project management teams for the awarded tasks.

• Complete ongoing security awareness training and adhere to company policies.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in estimating for telecom, wireless, low-voltage, or technology infrastructure projects.

• In-depth knowledge of low-voltage systems, wireless network architecture, IT infrastructure, and BMS/EBM systems.

• Expertise in interpreting architectural, MEP, and technology schematics.

• Familiarity with CSI divisions pertaining to telecom, security, control systems, and low-voltage scopes.

• Proficient in using estimating software such as Bluebeam, Accubid, PlanSwift, and Excel.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and capability to manage multiple estimates or bidding deadlines.

• Technical certifications such as RCDD, PMP, or BICSI are preferred.

• Experience in cost modeling, value engineering, pre-sales engineering, or design/build contracting is advantageous.

• Must reside in the United States.
