This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Translate the financial business needs and data requirements into governed, production-ready, and scalable data solutions.
• Lead the implementation across design, development, testing, and operationalization phases.
• Construct cloud-first data solutions, establish data governance, and build data foundations.
• Oversee the implementation of Data Quality, Metadata, and Reference Data Management capabilities.
• Propel the development of data assets in Databricks, encompassing table builds, transformations, and optimization.
• Collaborate with business partners, technology, IT, data stewards, and platform teams.
• Define, implement, monitor, and remediate Data Quality controls and rules for essential Finance data assets.
• Assist with metadata management, which includes creating business glossaries, documenting data lineage, onboarding catalogs, aligning stewardship, and ensuring governance compliance.
• Aid in the onboarding and operationalization of reference data domains, covering governance, ownership, hierarchies, and lifecycle management.
• Perform rapid prototyping to validate intricate business requirements.
• Conduct UAT testing and post-production validation.
• Prepare and deliver executive-ready presentations, status updates, and recommendations.
• Advise leadership on priorities for data foundation, implementation sequencing, capability gaps, risks, and opportunities.
• Investigate and integrate leading cloud practices for data solutions, governance, and data foundations.
• Ensure that solutions fulfill business and control requirements and are primed for production support.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Financial Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of cumulative experience in financial systems or data solutions.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing data solutions on Databricks or similar cloud data platforms.
• At least 2 years of project leadership experience.
• Familiarity with Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, and Agile Development Methodologies.
• Experience in IT business analysis, including artifact development.
• Strong comprehension of data governance principles and frameworks.
• Proven experience in translating business requirements into data models, transformations, and curated datasets.
• Proficient in data foundations, including Data Quality, Metadata, or Reference Data Management.
• Experience in problem-solving and consultation within complex environments.
• Ability to facilitate the efforts of cross-functional teams.
• A passion for contributing to an organization dedicated to enhancing consumer experiences.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences and executive leadership.
• Capacity to work within Eastern or Central Standard Time zones.
