Technician, EV Charging Field Service

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Conduct OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/revisions on a diverse array of equipment, from Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers to DC Fast Chargers.

• Execute testing on equipment, which includes but is not limited to insulation testing (megger testing), thermal imaging, torque assessments, and performance evaluations.

• Diagnose system performance issues and identify/locate ground faults.

• Collaborate closely with the Planning and Scheduling team to ensure adherence to maintenance schedules and accuracy in work order completion.

• Review site manuals and schematics to guarantee the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment.

• Engage in fieldwork, encompassing both electrical and mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance of site equipment, site field reporting, work order fulfillment, and additional tasks as necessary.

• Ensure all site issues are logged in the work order system and addressed promptly.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in servicing electrical power equipment within the commercial or utility energy sectors and/or formal electrical training.

• Proficient electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.

• Preferred but not required: Technical knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers, solar power installations, or other relevant power electronics.

• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for generating, tracking, and fulfilling site work requirements.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Capability to analyze and resolve issues independently while maintaining a high level of results orientation.

• Must possess proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to safely execute job responsibilities, interpret technical instructions, and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
