This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical liaison for clients assessing or implementing DSP solutions in Altera FPGAs.

• Offer architectural insights, system-level design suggestions, and strategies for performance enhancement.

• Facilitate technical conversations and solution positioning with engineering teams and decision-makers.

• Work in partnership with Sales and FSEs to pinpoint, qualify, and advance DSP-related opportunities.

• Demonstrate, present, and position DSP architectures utilizing IP and tools like DSP Builder (via MATLAB/Simulink).

• Assist customers throughout the entire design cycle—from initial concept to final production.

• Provide in-depth knowledge in digital signal processing principles (e.g., filtering, channelization, beamforming, RF/DSP chains).

• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate system and application-level challenges.

• Create reusable architectures, demonstrations, and design materials to enhance DSP engagement efficiency.

• Collaborate with Altera’s Aerospace, Defense and Government (ADG) division to support DirectRF opportunities.

• Identify and establish suitable RF+DSP architectures to meet customer needs.

• Deliver both internal and customer-facing training on DSP solutions, tools, and design approaches.

• Contribute to the creation of application notes, reference designs, and solution documentation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in FPGA digital design (including FPGA development tools such as Quartus, Vivado, etc.).

• More than 10 years of experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts and applications.

• Familiarity with high-level FPGA algorithm development tools (DSP Builder, System Generator, OneAPI).

• Proficient in tools like MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or C/C++.

• Knowledge of RF systems, communications, or signal chain design is preferred.

• Willingness to travel (this position entails travel requirements).

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
