Technician 1, Events, Temperature Control

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• You will join a distinguished team of technicians engaged in a variety of projects, including large events, assisting Utilities customers, or participating in a refinery turnaround team.

• Responsibilities include installing, commissioning, servicing, and repairing Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution systems, HVAC equipment, and/or OFA systems.

• Installation and commissioning for Event Services and other intricate projects will be part of your duties.

• You will troubleshoot equipment failures both during Events Services and within the service centers.

• Utilize mathematical formulas to determine nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.

• Ensure that minor repairs and major overhauls are completed on schedule, to quality standards, and within agreed-upon budgets for specific repairs and overall departmental budgets.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of and advocate for safe working conditions in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other necessary regulations regarding the safe operation of all equipment.

• Collaborate with a remote operations center to prevent failures, assist in designing proactive notifications to avert failures, and ensure compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Willingness to travel extensively, up to 75%, and be away for prolonged periods.

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience working with Power Generators, commercial HVAC systems, and Chillers, including performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

• Familiarity with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, as well as reading and understanding schematics.

• Depending on customer requirements, you may need to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Capability to move or lift objects, typically weighing less than 50 lbs.
