This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Work in conjunction with SCADA engineers, software developers, project managers, and other technical staff to collect, organize, and document technical information.
β’ Create and sustain technical documentation, including system descriptions, commissioning procedures, user manuals, standard operating procedures, and customer deliverables.
β’ Develop, manage, and enhance control narratives, HMI narratives, system architecture documentation, and operational workflows.
β’ Evaluate and improve block diagrams, communication architectures, system workflows, and associated engineering documentation to enhance clarity, completeness, and usability.
β’ Convert complex technical ideas into understandable documentation suitable for customers, operators, technicians, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
β’ Engage in design reviews, project meetings, and engineering discussions to ensure documentation accurately represents system functionality and project specifications.
β’ Maintain document revision history and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
β’ Ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to company documentation standards and customer expectations.
β’ Collaborate closely with engineering teams to remain updated on product improvements, software releases, and system changes.
β’ Assist in the ongoing improvement of documentation processes, templates, and standards.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related area; equivalent experience may be taken into account.
β’ Professional experience in creating technical documentation in industrial automation, SCADA, controls engineering, power systems, renewable energy, or other highly technical settings is required.
β’ The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, remarkable attention to detail, and the capability to comprehend and document intricate technical systems.
β’ Experience with industrial control systems, SCADA platforms, control narratives, HMI narratives, communication networks, and engineering documentation is highly preferred.
β’ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America.

β’ Exhibit strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to engage effectively with all levels of management, staff, customers, and partners.
β’ Collaborate across engineering, operations, and project teams.

β’ Regularly communicate activities and project status updates to leadership.
β’ Respond promptly to calls, emails, and messages.
β’ Assist in documentation management and maintain project records and databases.
