Technical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and elucidate use cases, technical principles, and engineering workflows.

• Develop use case manuals, tutorials, technical insights, and engineering articles.

• Generate content that enhances the user experience for individuals and agents utilizing PostHog.

• Determine content topics based on company developments, priorities, and engaging subjects.

• Choose the suitable format, which may include engineering blogs, SEO guides, and X threads.

• Collaborate with engineers and marketers to convey what has been created, its significance, and its relevance to developers.

• Revise engineers' blog entries as necessary.

• Create content such as in-depth technical analyses, distributed tracing manuals, embedded analytics setup instructions, and data warehouse guides.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional writing skills; capable of simplifying complex technical topics to be clear, useful, and enjoyable.

• A portfolio showcasing technical explainers, engineering articles, tutorials, or comparable work targeting a developer audience.

• Prior experience in crafting technical content.

• A strong sense of technical curiosity and the ability to accurately learn and articulate concepts like logs, traces, data warehouses, APIs, LLMs, and agents.

• Skill in differentiating genuinely educational content from keyword-focused content.

• Experience utilizing AI to create projects, enhance workflows, and assist with writing tasks.

• Capability to work autonomously, select valuable topics, develop a perspective, and deliver results.

• Nice to have: experience in a developer tools or B2B SaaS company, or similar organizations with a technical audience.

• Nice to have: involvement in side projects or development of small tools.

• Nice to have: prior experience with PostHog.
