Technical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Collect business requirements for current data warehouse operations and production applications by interviewing technical personnel and subject-matter experts.

• Organize walkthroughs and business reviews to confirm requirements.

• Identify, validate, and document the use of metadata and data lineage.

• Create business process flow diagrams using Visio and research to recommend suitable solutions.

• Use judgment and mentor less experienced team members within assigned applications.

• Deliver exceptional service to customers.

• Utilize business and technical expertise to perform root cause analysis.

• Document outcomes to facilitate defect resolution.

• Collaborate with internal teams to comprehend product and documentation needs.

• Develop and maintain information architecture according to SOW requirements and COR clarifications.

• Generate high-quality documentation that adheres to applicable standards for its target audience.

• Ensure the quality of all reports and deliverables as outlined in the contract.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology).

• Four or more years of professional experience.

• Demonstrated experience as a technical writer or in a similar capacity.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient in documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Visio, Jira, Confluence, etc.).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

• Knowledge of the SDLC and healthcare sector, particularly Medicare and Medicaid.

• Experience in data warehousing and metadata management.

• Understanding of Medicare and/or Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse or program integrity initiatives.
