Technical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Technical Software Trainers to develop new content and ensure the accuracy of training materials.

• Produce customer communications tailored for a diverse range of target audiences.

• Develop, revise, update, and oversee training guides, eLearning courses, knowledge assessments, training videos, and certification documents.

• Manage the lifecycle of over 90 training assets while concentrating on library expansion.

• Collect complex technical information and convert it into user-friendly content.

• Review and proofread documents authored by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and colleagues.

• Capture and refresh visual content utilizing various software tools.

• Work closely with SMEs and different teams to guarantee the accuracy of documentation.

• Proactively report issues or risks to project leaders.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least three years of experience in writing or editing technical documents.

• A bachelor's degree or certification in technical communication or a related discipline.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and image editing software (e.g., SnagIt).

• Familiarity with SharePoint and similar platforms for managing documentation.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of professional American English.

• Strong time management and organizational abilities, with keen attention to detail.

• Capability to quickly learn new software applications and effectively work with minimal supervision in a dynamic setting.

• Ability to maintain concentration and produce written content at a computer for extended durations.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles to various stakeholders and employ diplomacy and mediation to achieve objectives.
