This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Teach, train, and engage the customer base effectively on the advantages, services, and benefits of Ames Tools.
• Present dynamic tool demonstrations and offer guidance to potential tool users.
• Build and nurture relationships to generate referral business.
• Organize and conduct training events.
• Execute product demonstrations.
• Achieve sales results by processing merchandise sales orders.
• Support open-house events.
• Contribute to tool quality assurance and development.
• Assist with employee training initiatives.
• Certify Ames customers on the tools.
• Enhance rental revenues to meet company standards.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Over four years of relevant experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Proficient in suggestive selling techniques.
• Strong financial understanding.
• Knowledge of the significance of service in the tool rental process.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record, with the ability to be insured by the company’s automobile insurance provider.
• Forklift Certification may be required in certain stores and can be obtained after hiring.
• Capability to conduct tool training sessions at job sites.
• Ability to effectively communicate features and benefits to end-users and decision-makers.
• Proficient in selling the features and benefits of the sales merchandise product line.
• Competence in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance guidelines, and procedure manuals.
• Skills in writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various measurement units, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
