Technical Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Engage with various external developers, assisting them in building their applications utilizing Stripe’s infrastructure across multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, PHP, Go, NodeJS, .NET, ReactJS, React Native, Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, and Java for Android.

• Resolve complex integration issues faced by external developers through diverse support channels including email, ticketing systems, internal issue trackers, community forums (like StackOverflow), and real-time chat platforms (such as Slack and Discord).

• Create and maintain both internal and external documentation, examples, integration demonstrations, and code snippets that illustrate the usage patterns of the Stripe infrastructure.

• Identify challenges developers face and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance Stripe products. Participate in regular planning sessions, design reviews, and development meetings with extended engineering teams.

• Develop and sustain a collection of internal support tools for TSE and the broader Stripe Support team, such as a retrieval augmented generation LLM-based Copilot tool or the Invoice Explainer Admin tool.

• Serve as a developer advocate and educational resource within the organization by regularly organizing training sessions for non-developers and providing real-time responses to product integration inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of full-stack software development experience, demonstrating a successful history of building web or mobile applications that provide exceptional user experiences.

• Direct experience in articulating technical concepts, with the ability to comfortably explain how Stripe functions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proficient in writing clean, efficient code in various programming languages, as well as interpreting code that may not adhere to the best practices.

• Capacity to assist users during working hours specific to your region. Occasionally, this may involve providing weekend coverage for monitoring/supporting critical infrastructure, which TSEs are particularly equipped to handle due to their knowledge of Stripe’s products and active integrations. The team operates primarily remotely, and we greatly support flexible work arrangements that accommodate family care and other personal needs.
