This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Oversee client implementations across various environments including cloud, hybrid, and on-premises, from initial requirements to successful deployment of the Seqera Platform.
• Implement infrastructure and computing resources, covering networking, DNS, TLS, private CAs, IAM, secrets management, container runtimes, and pipeline storage.
• Deliver solutions while adhering to client access, security, and compliance requirements, providing guidance to client IT teams.
• Develop repeatable and secure deployment tools that include pre-flight checks, clear failure notifications, testing, and comprehensive documentation.
• Collaborate with Sales and Scientific Development teams to design solutions and execute proof-of-concept deployments.
• Serve as a senior escalation point to resolve recurring client issues by coordinating with internal teams for lasting solutions.
• Offer technical guidance during client discussions, articulating recommendations to scientists, bioinformaticians, IT professionals, and DevOps teams.
• Evaluate and enhance AI-generated Terraform scripts, runbooks, and diagrams prior to release, and provide ongoing support thereafter.
• In-depth knowledge of at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in multi-cloud environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with HPC schedulers like SLURM or Grid Engine is desirable.
• Understanding of networking concepts, including TLS and management of public/private certificates.
• Expertise in IAM and access control mechanisms.
• Capability to operate within the confines of client security and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Terraform is essential.
• Experience with CloudFormation, Pulumi, or Ansible is advantageous.
• Skilled in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Helm is considered a strong asset.
• Proven track record in developing and deploying tools for end-users.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with testing, security scanning, and documentation standards.
• Understanding of workflow engines operating on remote compute, storage, and container runtimes.
• Ability to lead technical onboarding and pre-sales activities, gather requirements, navigate uncertainties, and engage effectively with scientists and DevOps engineers.
• Self-motivated in research and knowledge sharing.
• Background in life sciences, bioinformatics, or scientific computing is a plus.
• Experience in technical pre-sales is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Nextflow is a nice-to-have.
• Experience in a startup environment is beneficial.
