This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +4 more states.
• Efficiently and promptly addresses customer inquiries, clarifying their business challenges and serving as a technical resource throughout the entire sales process.
• Cultivates relationships at various levels and across all stakeholders to establish initial technical credibility with accounts.
• Prepares and delivers engaging, compelling, and targeted technical demonstrations, including presentations of molecular biology instrumentation.
• Possesses adequate technical and business knowledge to present an appealing value proposition to clients.
• Understands the strengths and weaknesses of major competitors and contributes to the development of effective strategies to seize opportunities and overcome challenges.
• Develops a territory business plan and regularly updates it in response to business and market developments.
• Achieves assigned territory sales targets by proactively reaching out to both existing and potential new customers through field visits, email, phone calls, and other means.
• Cultivates existing customer relationships with a focus on increasing overall revenue and reagent sales through both existing and newly placed instrumentation.
• Researches accounts and utilizes historical sales data and market trends to drive new business initiatives.
• Collaborates closely with sales counterparts and distribution representatives to create specific account growth strategies, account mapping, and penetration plans.
• Gathers, processes, and shares competitive intelligence and market feedback to support the evolution of our offerings and strategies.
• Provides necessary forecasting and reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Manages multiple tasks simultaneously and balances workload based on priority.
• Adapts quickly to change while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in any life science discipline.
• Over 3 years of technical sales experience, ideally within the life science research sector serving academic, industrial, medical school, hospital, government, biotech, and/or biopharmaceutical accounts is highly preferred.
• Must possess hands-on experience with sample preparation lab techniques through prior work experience and/or education.
• A minimum of 5 years of work-related experience.

• Outstanding presentation, communication, influencing skills, and a natural aptitude for business.
