Technical Sales Representative I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a sales strategy for a specific territory.

• Execute the sales plan while promoting and demonstrating company products and services.

• Achieve sales targets for the territory across all product lines.

• Conduct daily customer visits to showcase products and explore sales opportunities.

• Follow up on leads provided by Evident.

• Engage in prospecting and cold calling to uncover new business opportunities.

• Provide timely customer quotations in collaboration with sales engineers and support staff.

• Align overall sales efforts with Evident colleagues.

• Review and enhance a Sales Plan for both active and prospective customers.

• Ensure comprehensive territory coverage while maintaining high in-field engagement.

• Enhance product presentation skills and deepen product knowledge.

• Respond quickly to customer inquiries via phone and email.

• Utilize the Evident CRM system for daily tasks and management reporting.

• Prepare periodic sales reports, calendar events, and manage opportunities.

• Collaborate on sales efforts with key account managers for major accounts.

• Participate in and present at local professional organizations.

• Adhere to the Evident Code of Ethics policy.

• Learn and apply the Miller Heiman strategic selling methodology.

• Attend sales meetings regularly.

• Travel around 60% of the time to conduct product demonstrations and sales meetings.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree in NDT, a related technical field, or business discipline, or equivalent technical experience.

• At least 1+ year of experience in high-end capital equipment sales or similar sales skills and training is preferred.

• Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to grasp the scientific principles and technology related to the equipment.

• Experience in sales territory management is advantageous.

• Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a high level of initiative.

• Willingness to travel approximately 60% within the designated territory.

• Ability to frequently lift and carry 25 lbs.

• Must qualify as a U.S. Person for export-control-restricted positions and provide valid proof of status upon hiring.
