This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Accountable for expanding an established territory and customer network by securing new business.

• Cultivating business relationships within existing accounts while driving new business opportunities.

• Meeting sales and profit objectives through the development and retention of current customers.

• Identifying and pursuing new business ventures.

• Tasked with enhancing profitability within the region.

• Create and sustain an opportunity pipeline to aid revenue and territory growth targets with both existing and prospective customers.

• Employing a consultative selling approach, routinely engage with current customers to nurture and expand partnerships.

• Proactively seek new business prospects through research and lead generation.

• Present vending solutions or integration prospects.

• Generate and follow up on quotes and proposals, negotiating terms and closing sales.

• Foster and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and suppliers.

• Report on competitive landscapes, customer financial vulnerabilities, and feedback to management.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of outside sales experience.

• Experience in metalworking, industrial, or MRO sectors is essential.

• Strong business insight is required.

• Proven success in achieving sales targets, acquiring new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and increasing account penetration.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and execute on established sales metrics.

• Experience with Automated Procurement Systems is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and formulate action plans.

• Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.

• Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel frequently within the assigned territory.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; a 2- or 4-year college degree is preferred.
