This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
• Uphold the values, standards, and safety culture of Whitefox in all customer engagements.
• Collaborate with Sales and clients to identify challenges, analyze process data, and create membrane-based solutions.
• Assist Sales in conveying the technical features of Whitefox technologies during virtual and face-to-face meetings.
• Articulate the technical and economic benefits to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Create conceptual solution designs for Whitefox that enhance energy efficiency, water usage, and operational performance.
• Develop process simulation models to measure and validate anticipated performance and advantages.
• Estimate and quantify project benefits, including utility savings, production effects, and carbon credit generation.
• Prepare initial capital cost estimates encompassing engineering, equipment, construction, and installation costs.
• Conduct techno-economic assessments, including ROI and payback period analyses.
• Contribute to the early phases of front-end loading and gated opportunity development.
• Generate front-end engineering deliverables, such as process flow diagrams, heat and material balances, utility summaries, equipment listings, and basis of design documentation.
• Carry out preliminary sizing of key process equipment, including pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, membranes, and piping systems.
• Identify and document technical risks, assumptions, and unresolved items.
• Assist in the ongoing enhancement of products, tools, and solution methodologies.
• Remain updated on industry trends, competitive technologies, and integration prospects.
• Execute other related tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Over 5 years of experience in process engineering, solution development, or technical-commercial positions within the industrial, energy, or chemical sectors.
• More than 3 years of experience using process simulation tools like Aspen Plus, HYSYS, ChemCAD, Symmetry, or similar.
• Proven experience in developing mass and energy balances, utility balances, and process performance models tailored for client-specific applications.
• Experience interacting directly with clients in either technical or commercial capacities.
• A valid Driver's License is mandatory.
• An advanced degree (M.Sc.) is viewed as a bonus.
• Experience in Technical Sales Engineering, Applications Engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical-commercial role is advantageous.
• Background in brownfield integration, plant modifications, or retrofit projects is beneficial.
• Familiarity with ethanol production processes or membrane technologies is an asset.
