This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with account executives throughout the entire sales process, from initial discovery to deployment, ongoing support, and upgrades/renewals.
• Design and deliver product demonstrations specifically for the energy and utilities sector.
• Create and present persuasive use cases for asset performance management and decision-making analysis.
• Work closely with clients to grasp their technical and business needs.
• Contribute technical insights to proposals, RFPs, marketing materials, and other sales-related documents.
• Address and resolve technical inquiries that arise during the sales process.
• Keep informed on industry standards and the company's software offerings.
• Assist in formulating persuasive sales presentations by aligning technical solutions with business requirements.
• Collaborate with account executives to strategize on targeted accounts and sales methodologies.
• Work with implementation teams to ensure seamless transitions from sales to deployment.
• Provide foundational technical training to new clients.
• Investigate and assess customer challenges in the energy and utilities sector, emphasizing asset performance and decision-making issues.
• Relay market trends and competitor insights to product development teams.
• Build trust with technical stakeholders, including asset/maintenance engineers, system planners, procurement teams, and executive leadership.
• Maintain post-sale relationships to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
• Offer feedback and recommendations to internal product and delivery teams based on client feedback and industry trends.
• Develop processes to enhance both internal and external workflows.
• Expected to travel globally for on-site customer meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, networking events, and internal corporate functions (approximately 30-50% travel annually).
• Expertise in B2B enterprise software with an emphasis on technical sales.
• Practical experience in one or more core programming languages, with the capability to discuss past projects and contributions.
• Proven ability to quickly and effectively learn and apply new complex skills.
• Strong understanding of the energy and utilities industries, particularly in asset performance management and decision analytics.
• Experience in highly regulated industries is advantageous.
• Ability to convey complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Problem-solving approach focused on aligning technical solutions with business results.
• Excellent self-directed research capabilities.
• Proficiency in tools such as CRM systems, data analysis software, and relevant technical applications (e.g., APM, GIS, ERP platforms, or simulation tools).
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (applied sciences, engineering).
• A collaborative spirit with the capacity to work independently and take initiative.
• Minimum Requirements: Experience in customer-facing sales roles (preferably B2B).
