This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Collaborate with mid-market and enterprise clients as a trusted technical consultant throughout the sales process, providing solution architecture, technical advice, and pre-sales engineering proficiency.
• Oversee multiple simultaneous opportunities in a dynamic environment, maintaining a balance between in-depth technical involvement and efficient deal progression.
• Direct complex sales processes from initial discovery to solution design, technical validation, and proof-of-concept (POC) execution, facilitating successful technical results that aid in closing deals.
• Utilize expertise in enterprise infrastructure, encompassing data resilience, virtualization, cloud services, networking, security, and modern IT architectures to address customer challenges.
• Clearly demonstrate and explain the business and technical benefits of proposed solutions, assisting customers in enhancing operational resilience, minimizing risk, optimizing costs, and achieving strategic goals.
• Provide guidance to customers on data security, privacy, governance, and regulatory factors that impact enterprise data protection and IT strategies.
• Educate clients on emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs), illustrating how resilient and trusted data supports successful AI and analytics initiatives.
• Conduct engaging presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and technical discussions for audiences that range from practitioners and architects to executive stakeholders.
• Operate with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, making informed decisions independently while collaborating effectively in complex or high-impact situations.
• Work closely with sales teams, channel partners, and technology alliances to move opportunities forward, create pipeline, and ensure technical alignment throughout the customer journey.
• Mentor and assist team members by sharing technical knowledge, advocating for best practices, and nurturing a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
• Over 5 years of experience in pre-sales systems engineering, solutions architecture, or similar technical customer-facing positions, servicing mid-market to enterprise clients.
• Proven capability to manage multiple concurrent sales engagements in a fast-paced sales environment, effectively balancing deep technical involvement with efficiency, responsiveness, and deal progression.
• Established experience executing complex sales cycles from start to finish, including discovery, solution design, technical validation, and proof-of-concept (POC) execution, while ensuring technical outcomes that directly support deal closure.
• Strong foundational technical expertise across enterprise infrastructure sectors, including data resilience, compute and virtualization platforms, cloud services, networking, and security, with the ability to apply this knowledge to real-world customer challenges and business objectives.
• Ability to competitively position solutions and articulate distinct technical value in relation to customer outcomes, cost optimization, risk reduction, and operational resilience.
• Working knowledge of data security, privacy, governance, and regulatory factors that influence enterprise IT and data protection strategies.
• Foundational understanding of AI, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs), with the ability to explain how trusted, resilient, and well-governed data enables contemporary analytics, automation, and AI initiatives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with demonstrated experience presenting technical concepts to IT practitioners, architects, and management-level audiences, including leading customer-facing presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and public or semi-public speaking engagements.
• Proven ability to work independently with a high degree of ownership and accountability, exercising sound judgment within established frameworks while appropriately escalating high-impact or ambiguous decisions.
• Collaborative mindset with a history of closely partnering with sales, channel partners, and technology alliances to advance opportunities, support pipeline generation, and ensure technical alignment throughout the sales cycle.
