This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Sales team to effectively communicate the comprehensive Datadog value proposition, vision, and strategy to clients.

• Take ownership of technical interactions with customers during the trial phase, articulating Datadog’s value based on activities and addressing any identified issues or concerns to ensure a successful resolution.

• Successfully close complex opportunities by leveraging advanced competitive knowledge, technical expertise, and establishing credibility.

• Present product and technical briefings to prospective clients.

• Keep detailed records and feedback in the CRM regarding customer insights, including both successes and challenges.

• Actively engage and communicate with customers as well as Datadog's business and technical teams regarding product feedback and the competitive landscape.


⛳️ Requirements

• A strong enthusiasm for educating customers about observability risks that significantly impact their business, along with the ability to create and execute an evaluation plan with a customer.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to understand and convey both the business benefits (value proposition) and technical merits of our offerings.

• Proficient in programming/scripting with any of the following languages: Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, and .NET, among others.

• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.

• Capable of sitting for up to 4 hours while commuting to and from client locations.

• Willing to travel by car, train, or plane up to 45% of the time.
