• Take charge of the documentation, release communication, and customer-readiness process for all products delivered by Hauler Hero.
• Manage the Hauler Hero help center, which includes how-to guides, feature documentation, FAQs, troubleshooting flows, and clear explanations.
• Draft the majority of the content yourself and ensure that documentation remains accurate as the product evolves.
• Handle release communications for both customers and internal teams, encompassing customer-facing and internal release notes.
• Assist in converting institutional knowledge into clear, accessible documentation.
• Establish a consistent release rhythm across Product, Design, Engineering, Customer Success, Implementation, and Sales teams.
• Aid in bridging the gap between code functionality and customer experience.
• Document reasoning and insights following product launches.
• Potentially link release communication and documentation efforts to product analytics tools for enhanced understanding of adoption and customer impact.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in writing technical documentation, preferably for B2B SaaS.
• Strong writing samples or a portfolio available for review.
• Experience in creating customer-facing help content, release notes, internal documentation, and process documentation.
• Comfort in a dynamic, founder-led environment where foundational elements are still being established.
• Solid judgment regarding what information is essential for customers, what internal teams require, and what can be postponed.
• Ability to write clearly for non-technical audiences, including operators, dispatchers, drivers, billing teams, customer service representatives, and business owners.
• A testing mindset with the capacity to identify unclear workflows, edge cases, broken handoffs, and customer confusion before they escalate to support issues.
• Sufficient organizational skills to manage a release communication process without it becoming bureaucratic.
• Willingness to be the sole person in your function for a certain period.
• Openness to ask direct questions and seek clarity.
• Proficiency in using AI tools in your writing process. Claude is integrated into our daily workflow, and we expect this individual to utilize AI thoughtfully to draft more quickly, stress-test content, and reason through edge cases.
