This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Actively participate in documentation efforts while overseeing and guiding writers; exemplify quality standards through your own contributions.
• Develop and implement the content structure and taxonomy for the MeridianLink product suite; ensure uniformity and ease of discovery.
• Establish and maintain content authoring infrastructure, including tool implementation, template management, and publishing workflows.
• Collaborate with support and customer success teams to create a comprehensive strategy for customer-facing content that includes technical documentation, FAQs, knowledge bases, and training materials.
• Lead the technical writing team by managing hiring, mentoring, workload distribution, and performance evaluations.
• Author significant sections of administrator and user guides; provide mentorship to writers on complex or high-stakes content.
• Set documentation processes and standards; develop a style guide, review schedule, and quality checkpoints.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams on the scope, requirements, and timing of documentation releases.
• Manage the documentation release cycle in sync with product launches.
• Evaluate user feedback and support inquiries to pinpoint content gaps and prioritize enhancements.
• Over 7 years of experience in technical writing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within a SaaS environment.
• Proven experience in authoring extensive and complex administrator and user guides for either single products or product families.
• Practical experience with enterprise authoring tools (such as MadCap Flare, Paligo, or similar) and knowledge bases; skilled in setting up projects, templates, and publishing workflows.
• Experience in designing documentation structures and information architecture for multiple products or a comprehensive product suite.
• Proven track record of transitioning teams from ad-hoc practices to systematic approaches, including process definition, taxonomy, and tooling.
• Familiarity with AI tools for generating content drafts and automating processes.
