This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.
• Oversee quoting and project management tasks for new Marine programs in partnership with Wabtec within the CSSNA DBU.
• Work collaboratively across departments to create precise cost proposals and manage delivery timelines to meet program obligations.
• Organize, schedule, and lead project meetings with both internal and external parties.
• Keep thorough documentation of project quotes, scope, and milestone progress.
• Direct the entire program lifecycle, which includes prototype development, installation, commissioning, transition to production launch, and further deliveries.
• Independently handle assigned projects or programs, managing scope, timeline, deliverables, priorities, and coordination.
• Engage and unify cross-functional teams, clients, and external partners.
• Convert customer and stakeholder needs into actionable project plans.
• Recognize project risks, issues, and limitations, and formulate mitigation strategies.
• Lead conflict discussions and offer objective recommendations during escalations.
• Support compliant and cooperative execution of projects.
• A degree from a college, university, or equivalent institution is necessary.
• The position may necessitate licensing to comply with export controls or sanctions regulations.
• Intermediate work experience relevant to the role is required, including experience in team leadership.
• Background in prototype cost analysis and/or manufacturing cost estimation is preferred.
• Experience in shipbuilding programs or large subcontractor/tiered supplier environments is advantageous.
• Familiarity with product compliance and regulatory frameworks for defense programs, including FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, cybersecurity, and relevant industry standards is essential.
• Experience in managing supply timelines for government and defense-related equipment is required.
• Proven ability to enforce disciplined project execution, including follow-up, escalation, and accountability for scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Experience with U.S. Government programs requiring Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) compliance is important.
• Advanced capability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, specifications, and configuration documentation.
• Understanding of government contract requirements, deliverables, documentation standards, and compliance responsibilities is necessary.
• Ability to manage configuration changes, revisions, and contract modifications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Knowledge of quality and testing processes, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), inspections, and documentation packages is a plus.
• Proficient in using and adapting various project management tools and customer-preferred systems.
• Ability to independently oversee projects or programs while maintaining accountability for scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Excellent skills in written, verbal, listening, and presentation communications.
• Capability to engage and align cross-functional teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
• Skilled in identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Competent in facilitating conflict resolution and providing objective recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexible remote home office work arrangement.
• Annual salary range of $100,320.00–$150,480.00.
• No relocation required; relocation is not eligible.
