This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as the main contact for designated IT projects throughout their entire lifecycle.
• Oversee projects from the initial concept phase, through planning and requirements gathering, to implementation, deployment, and final closeout.
• Establish project goals, scope, objectives, success criteria, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Create and uphold project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, resource allocations, and status reports.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, allocate tasks, and secure necessary resources.
• Track progress and performance metrics; identify potential risks and issues, and execute mitigation strategies.
• Organize project meetings, steering committee reviews, and communications with stakeholders.
• Oversee project scope and manage change control processes.
• Coordinate testing, implementation, training, and transition tasks.
• Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, governance, standards, and documentation necessities.
• Utilize knowledge of technologies, systems, and application environments to facilitate technical discussions and execute projects.
• Prepare project documentation, forecasts, executive summaries, and evaluations post-project.
• Encourage collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement among project teams and stakeholders.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and directly relevant IT experience.
• A minimum of five years of experience in IT project management, including at least two years managing digital financial projects.
• Experience as a Scrum Master; certification preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience working directly with vendors.
• Capability to manage multiple moderately complex projects at the same time.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum methodologies.
• Expertise in project planning, scheduling, task assignment, tracking, scope management, resource management, change management, and risk management.
• Solid technical background with the ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder interests.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and project documentation/reporting tools.
• Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build effective teams, influence cross-functional stakeholders, negotiate, resolve conflicts, and manage resources within a matrixed organization.
• Capacity to lead cross-functional teams through influence and escalation management.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and frequently operate a computer and office equipment.
• Occasionally required to move or lift items weighing up to 10 pounds.
