This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the design of systems for industrial robot cells, ensuring a holistic approach that integrates various components including robots, robot controllers, end effectors, material handling equipment, vision systems, cameras, lighting, and pneumatics.
• Support the sales team to guarantee that the scope of work aligns with customer specifications and standards.
• Supervise vendors and subcontractors to ensure that the equipment and services provided adhere to project specifications, budget, and timelines.
• Relay project scope and schedule to internal stakeholders – including Integration, Software, Operations, and Accounting – and manage resources effectively for the project.
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery within the defined scope, schedule, and budget.
• Offer valuable insights and feedback on schedule stack and resource availability, promptly addressing project deviations like change orders and schedule delays.
• Create project schedules, on-site commissioning plans, Factory Acceptance Test plans, and Site Acceptance Test plans.
• Constantly seek and implement innovative management techniques to improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance delivery efficiency.
• Cultivate exceptional customer satisfaction for each project, ensuring commitments are fulfilled and expectations are surpassed.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other project managers, assisting them in navigating technical and managerial challenges.
• Assess resource needs for all active and upcoming projects, including those managed by others, balancing personnel, budget, and technology requirements.
• Develop and maintain project dashboards in Wrike to monitor the status of all active projects.
• Utilize a project management tool to evaluate performance metrics.
• Promote continuous improvement to boost the efficiency and scalability of robotic solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in the warehouse and logistics or a related field.
• Experience in systems, mechanical, or electrical design.
• Demonstrated success in negotiating with customers.
• Skilled in managing project procurement, including working with technical bid documents and liaising with material handling automation vendors.
• Optional: Experience in project management, encompassing writing proposals, design specifications, requirement definitions, manuals, and acceptance plans.
• Strong background in the robotics and automation industry, particularly within the logistics or manufacturing sectors.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD applications.
