Technical Project Manager – Digital Media and News

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee project scope by collaborating on defining objectives, deliverables, tasks, milestones, and tracking change requests as necessary.

• Drive project planning and progress monitoring, partnering with the team on estimates and schedules to guarantee timely delivery of project commitments.

• Act as team lead, forming cross-functional teams with diverse skill sets, monitoring their performance, sustaining team motivation, and managing conflicts to ensure optimal performance.

• Design and implement risk management plans, identifying potential risks and establishing mitigation strategies.

• Liaise with business stakeholders, including clients, account managers, and internal teams, to ensure alignment with project goals and context.

• Document QA processes, implementation procedures, ad formats, and technical specifications to facilitate internal knowledge sharing.

• Assist in the rollout of new products and the integration of technical solutions for new advertising vendors in collaboration with product and revenue teams.

• Ensure adherence to privacy, data protection, consent, accessibility, and other regulatory requirements, effectively communicating technical implications to revenue and development teams.

• Analyze performance data in Google Ad Manager, SSPs, and other third-party systems, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a Technical Project Manager or a similar position.

• Experience with CMS-based products and a comprehension of the distinctions between CMS and non-CMS platforms. Familiarity with systems like WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, Sitefinity, Kentico, or similar is preferred.

• Proven experience with both Fixed Price / Fixed Timeline and Time & Materials delivery models.

• Strong knowledge of traditional and agile project management methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and hybrid delivery models.

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with teams and manage stakeholders and clients.

• Ability to comprehend high-level requirements and translate them into precise documentation for developers, including acceptance criteria, use cases, and functional descriptions.

• Strong collaborative abilities when working with business, product, and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Capacity to review and provide feedback on user stories created by the product team to ensure they satisfy the Definition of Ready.

• Technical understanding of the systems and technologies being developed, facilitating clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to maintain and share project reports that track progress against team goals and objectives, including preparing presentations for executive leadership.

• Experience in identifying and reporting risks, as well as defining action plans and mitigation strategies.

• Proficiency in using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, Excel, Notion, and Confluence.

• Understanding of data tracking tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, with a basic knowledge of interpreting dashboards.
