Technical Project Manager – Digital Media and News

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee project scope by collaborating on defining objectives, deliverables, tasks, milestones, and tracking change requests as necessary.

• Direct project planning and progress monitoring, collaborating with the team on estimates and timelines to ensure timely fulfillment of project commitments.

• Act as team leader, forming cross-functional teams with diverse skill sets, supervising performance, sustaining team motivation, and resolving conflicts to guarantee high performance.

• Create and implement risk management strategies, identifying potential risks and establishing mitigation plans.

• Liaise with business stakeholders, including clients, account managers, and internal teams, to ensure alignment with project goals and context.

• Document quality assurance processes, implementation protocols, ad formats, and technical specifications to facilitate internal knowledge sharing.

• Assist in the launch of new products and the integration of technical solutions for new advertising vendors in partnership with product and revenue teams.

• Ensure adherence to privacy, data protection, consent, accessibility, and other regulatory obligations, conveying technical implications to revenue and development teams.

• Analyze performance data in Google Ad Manager, SSPs, and other third-party systems, offering insights and recommendations for optimization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in a Technical Project Manager or a comparable role.

• Familiarity with CMS-based products and an understanding of the distinctions between CMS and non-CMS platforms. Experience with systems like WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, Sitefinity, Kentico, or similar is preferred.

• Experience with both Fixed Price / Fixed Timeline and Time & Materials delivery methods.

• Strong knowledge of traditional and agile project management approaches, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and hybrid delivery models.

• Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities for effective collaboration with teams and management of stakeholders and clients.

• Capacity to grasp high-level requirements and convert them into clear documentation for developers, including acceptance criteria, use cases, and functional descriptions.

• Strong teamwork skills while collaborating with business, product, and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ability to review and contribute to user stories generated by the product team to ensure they meet the Definition of Ready.

• Technical insight into the systems and technologies being developed, facilitating clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Competence in maintaining and publishing project reports to monitor progress against team objectives, including preparing presentations for executive leadership.

• Experience in identifying and reporting risks, along with formulating action plans and mitigation strategies.

• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, Excel, Notion, and Confluence.

• Understanding of data tracking tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, with basic skills in interpreting dashboards.
